The SHS Group: A Celebration of 30 years in Business
This is the sort of commercial project that I love. So a big thank you goes out to the lovely, Lisa Dynan, designer extraordinaire, who recommended me for the job. The SHS Group is a Northern Irish success story. As one of the largest mid market private companies in the UK and Ireland, with a turnover of over £400 million, they are at the top of their game. The brands they own or distribute are present in all of our shopping trolleys: WKD, Merrydown Cider, Bottle Green, Tunnocks, Jordans, Colgate, Danone, to name a few. To celebrate over 30 years in the business of manufacturing and distribution, a book documenting the history of the group from its inception in 1975 to the present day was conceived. Blackstaff Press were tasked with its creation and I was brought on board to create a body of images capturing the day to day running of their operations in Belfast. The pictures are a candid visual narrative of the company and its workforce. It was a pleasure working with the staff at SHS and I was thrilled to leave the warehouse with a gift of a box of Tunnocks tea cakes!
