Adriana's House
The house featured in this series is located in the hills above Lake Orta in Italy. It was a family home: Adriana's home. The house and all of its contents were sold to new owners. This act of abandonment, where whole rooms full of possessions were left behind, fascinates me. Adriana, like my grandmother, was in her nineties. When she left, did she too select the objects that she held most dear. I wonder now what they were.
