Snow
"The first fall of snow is not only an event, but it is a magical event. You go to bed in one kind of world and wake up to find yourself in another quite different, and if this is not enchantment, then where is it to be found?" (J. B. Priestley, 1928).
The ‘Snow’ series captures Belfast after a night of heavy snowfall when the city, briefly, was magically white. I ventured out at first light and found a world transformed; a landscape still and beautiful in its fleeting fragility.
